If there's one thing I've learned throughout my life, it's that growth rarely happens in a straight line.

I didn't grow up with financial stability or a clear roadmap for the future. My childhood was shaped by frequent moves, poverty, and periods of homelessness. Like many people, I learned how to survive long before I learned how to build security. It was during those years that I discovered something life-changing: understanding money wasn't just about numbers, but it was about creating choices.

As I grew older, those experiences stayed with me. They influenced how I thought about money, how I approached challenges, and how I tried to create stability for my own family.

Over the years, I became a wife, a mother, and a business owner. I have worked in finance, business operations, project management, Indigenous governance, and for other community initiatives, where I discovered something that would shape the way I approach every problem today.

Strong systems create freedom.

Whether we're talking about a business, a household, a community project, or personal finances, lasting change doesn't come from working harder. It comes from building foundations that continue to support us when life becomes difficult.

That belief eventually led me to pursue financial counselling. Not because I believe money is simply about numbers, but because I know firsthand that our financial decisions are shaped by our experiences, our beliefs, and the environments we've lived in.

Today, through Wild Isle Consulting, my goal is to help individuals, businesses, and communities build those foundations with clarity, compassion, and practical guidance.

I don't believe in quick fixes or perfect plans.

I believe in sustainable growth, thoughtful systems, and helping people discover they can create lasting change, one intentional step at a time.

If my story has taught me anything, it's this:
